NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Mountain Empire Unified School District, hereinafter referred to as "District", is calling for and will receive sealed bids for the award of a contract for the above project up to, but not later than, the above-stated date and time. Department of Industrial Relations These per diem rates, including holiday and overtime work, as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes, are available from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Wage rates can be obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations at http://www.dir.ca.gov/OPRL/dprewagedetermination.htm Pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the said specified rates toall workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract.As of March 1, 2015 all contractors bidding on a public works project must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Contractor's California State License Class as previously indicated at time of bid receipt and throughout the duration of the project. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal.The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the contract documents as defined in the General Conditions. Water test all drains and ensure proper function prior to beginning work. Notify owner of any deficiencies. 2. All gravel must be removed from the roof system. 3. Existing counter-flashing to be removed for coating and re-used upon completion. 4. Conduit: Contractor is responsible to safely raise conduit as needed prior to coating application. Once coating work is complete, all conduit to be placed on rubber blocks. 5. Pressure wash roofing membrane with Simple Green, allow to dry. Properly dispose of any debris. 6. Existing mastic in good condition to be primed with Garla-Block and coated over. Failed mastic must be removed and replaced with new white mastic. 7. Cut open any blisters, splits, or damaged cap sheet. Prime with Garla-Prime VOC and then torch one layer of StressPly IV Plus Mineral torch cap sheet over the area using full width sheets only. 8. Base Flashings: Reinforce all base flashings by applying new torch cap sheet - StressPly IV Plus Mineral - extending 9" onto the field of the roof. 9. Drains: Remove any exposed fabric from the sumps and apply a three-course application of fabric - Grip Polyester Soft - and polyurea base coat - LiquiTec Base. Replace any missing strainers with new cast iron. 10. Pitch Pockets: Remove all failed mastic. Install white polyether mastic - KEE-Lock Mastic - with polyester fabric - Grip Polyester Soft 6" - embedded in. Do not coat over pitch pockets with LiquiTec. 11. Install polyurea base coat - LiquiTec Base - at 4.0 gallons per 100 square ft. over the entire roof surface (including penetrations) and base flashings and fully embed polyester - Grip Polyester Soft - into it while wet. 12. Allow 24-36 hours for cure time.
