A timeline for the award is not yet established.** The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional services in connection with the following: Governor's Office of Storm Recovery: Construction Management For Park Steet / Beech Street Complete Streets and Drainage Improvements Nassau County, under the auspices of its Department of Public Works (NCDPW), in coordination with the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery, desires to procure construction management services for the supervision of drainage improvement and other road improvement construction. This project is funded by and conceived through the NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program of the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of 2,000,000 and 1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively (refer to RFP for specific insurance requirements). M/WBE and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit a bid proposal. For the purposes of this procurement, the HFTC hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) participation, 15% for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) participation and 15% for Women Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation. Project Description PARK ST./BEECH ST. COMPLETE STREETS AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS: This project proposes the realignment and rehabilitation of approximately 0.9 miles of roadway in the hamlet of East Atlantic Beach in the Town of Hempstead and Village of Atlantic Beach. The project includes the installation of concrete curb and gutter, ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps, underground stormwater storage, traffic signal improvements, construction of a shared-use path and drainage improvements at Dutchess Boulevard. Scope of Work The Scope of Services ("Scope") outlined below has been established for the purpose of achieving and implementing program goals and objectives described in this document. Although the Scope is intended to serve as a reference in the preparation of the proposal, forthcoming proposals may offer additional services which support the goals of these job titles and compensation review and analysis. Examples of additional services may include material testing, sub-surface explorations, specialized structural engineering, specialized engineering related services, immediate corrective measures, plant inspections, etc.
