As of July 29, 2022, this project has started construction. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The voters of the City of Rome and Floyd County approved a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) from which a portion of the additional one-cent sales tax to be collected will be used to fund the design and construction of the bridge project described in this RFP. This project consists of the design of a bridge over Big Dry Creek which will be an integral part of the Trail System of the City of Rome and provide connectivity from the recently constructed Mt. Berry Trail on the westerly and northerly side of the Oostanaula River to the existing sidewalk along the Armuchee Connector on the north side of the Oostanaula River. No inquiries or interpretation of meaning concerning this Request for Proposal will be made to any bidder orally. Every inquiry or request for interpretation should be made in writing and to be given consideration must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for opening the Proposals.
