Notice is hereby given that Sammamish Plateau Water will receive sealed bids for the 7 MG Tank Seismic Retrofit & Coating Project. The 7 MG Tank is a steel standpipe, constructed in 1992, and is located at 23222 SE 47th Street, Sammamish, Washington. The reservoir is approximately 61-ft tall and 140-ft in diameter, and anchored to a concrete ring footing with 43 existing anchor chairs. The Project generally consists of: 1. The installation of new anchor chairs and adhesive anchor rods. 2. The installation of new fall protection anchor points, a new ladder access hatch on the tank's existing ladder shield, and expansion of the existing ladder shield, and the installation of two new tank vents. 3. The installation of a new electrical cabinet, relocation of existing conduit and wire, and the installation of a new conduit on the tank 4. Removal and replacement of the exterior and interior coating systems. 5. Paint a new landscape mural over the exterior protective coating system. The Project site is located in a highly residential area. The Contractor shall take all necessary steps to reduce noise generated by onsite equipment as required by these specifications, and to meet all local noise requirements. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, cashier's check, certified check, or Postal Money Order made payable to the order of the Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District, amounting to five (5%) ofthe bid, as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A. The apparent low bidder shall submit the Supplemental Bidder Responsibility Criteria (SBRC) documentation to the Owner within forty-eight (48) hours ofthe published bid submittal time. Ifrequested, the second or third apparent low bidder must submit the SBRC to the Owner within forty-eight (48) hours of such request. B. All Bidders shall submit a List of Subcontractors as required, and within the time period specified, in Section 00310, List of Subcontractor. C. If the Contract is awarded, the Notice ofAward will be issued within twenty-one (21) calendar days after the bid opening. All Bidders agree to be bound by their bids and that no bid may be withdrawn unless the award of the Contract is delayed for a period exceeding this stated time. D. After delivery of the Notice ofAward stating that the Contract has been awarded, the successful bidder shall execute the Contract Agreement and meet the requirements of insurance as stated in Section 00650 within ten (10) calendar days. The successful bidder shall also provide the performance and payment bonds in the forms shown in Section 0061.5 within ten (10) calendar days of receiving the Notice of Award. The Owner's posting of the Notice of Award by regular mail to the successful bidder, or the date the successful bidder was notified by emailed, shall constitute delivery for the purpose of this provision. E. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within seven (7) calendar days after the date the Contractor is executed by the District. F. All work is to be completed by May 9, 2022. G. The District will take the reservoir off line and have it drained by September 24, 2021. The Bidder shall review and comply with Section 00150, Bidder Responsibility Criteria. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding.
