The work to be accomplished under this contract includes in-water work and land work along the bluff of Lake Erie. The site is located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio within the municipal boundaries of the City of Lakewood at the northern terminus of Summit Avenue. In general, the Work consists of the following: o excavation and placement of new stone revetment to protect the bluff; o demolition/disposal of the existing manhole remnants; o installation of a modular concrete retaining wall with rock anchors; o installation of shotcrete with rock anchors to protect exposed shale bluff; o installation steel sheet pile wall with deadman; o installation of a new outfall pipe and CSO outfall pipe with reinforced concrete pad with stainless steel liner plates; o installation of a precast concrete vault with a cast in place concrete base; o excavation/regrading/seeding of slope; o CIPP lining of CSO pipe and sanitary sewer; o erosion and sediment control; and, o miscellaneous work consisting of pipe patching, grouting, concrete sidewalks and curb, electrical conduit, new light poles, guardrail, fencing, site restoration and other appurtenances. The work performed for this project shall be CAREFULLY performed in strict accordance with U. S. Army Corp. of Engineers NATIONWIDE PERMIT NO. 13 which is attached in the Supplemental Specifications portion of the Contract Documents. The work performed for this project shall be CAREFULLY performed in strict accordance with ODNR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT 16-CUY-04 which is attached in the Supplemental Specifications portion of the Contract Documents. ALL IN-WATER WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE USACE AND ODNR PERMITS. Also note: Special provisions for bedrock excavations require NON-VIBRATORY methods.
