Notice Content ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the Treasurer of Northwest Local School District, 2309 Locust Street S, Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614 for the following project: Bus Garage Parking Lot Improvements The project consists of the following bid packages: • Bid Package #1 Site Demolition/Excavation/Asphalt Paving Work. • Bid Package #2 Concrete Work. • Bid Package #3 Fencing Work. • Bid Package #4 Electrical Work. The project shall proceed in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by The Caplea Corporation d/b/a Caplea Studio Architects, 11700 Cleveland Avenue, NW, P.O. Box 1020, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. This project will include bid proposals for respective bid package or combination bid. Bidders may submit requests for consideration of a proposed Substitution for a specified product, equipment or service to the Architect no later than ten (10) days prior to the bid opening. Additional products, equipment and services may be accepted as approved Substitutions only by written Addendum. Prevailing wage rates do not apply to this project. Equal Employment Opportunity requirements apply to this project. This project is subject to the State of Ohio's Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (“EDGE”) business development program. A bidder is required to submit with its bid information about the certified EDGE business enterprises participating on the project with the bidder or an affidavit for waiver for such requirements. The EDGE participation goal for the project is 5%. The bidder may be subject to a pre-award affirmative action compliance review in accordance with Section 123:2-5-01 of the Ohio Administrative Code. To the extent applicable, domestic steel use requirements as specified in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.011 apply to this project. Bidders shall be enrolled in, and in good standing in a Drug-Free Safety Program (“DFSP”) approved by the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation prior to submitting a bid or enroll prior to commencing work and provide information upon request relative to their enrollment in such a program. Bids will be received for the bid packages at the offices of the Treasurer of Northwest Schools located at 2309 Locust Street S, Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614. Sealed bids will be received until May 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. when all bids will be opened and read aloud.
