CRGP Housing Rehabilitation GENERAL The City of Birmingham is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of houses under the critical repair grant program (CRGP) funded by the Federal Government. Specification:- Use of specific brand names and numbers is not intended to restrict the bidding of any seller and/or manufacturer, but is solely for the purpose of indicating the type, size and quality of materials, products, service, or other equipment considered best adapted to the City's intended use. All materials are to be new: no used, remanufactured or refurbished materials will be considered acceptable. DEMOLITION: All parts to be removed shall be done in a safe, orderly fashion, taking care to avoid damage to parts which are to be left in place. All debris shall be removed from the premises as it is generated. CARPENTRY: Framing lumber shall be no less than new #2 yellow pine material unless otherwise specified. Finish lumber shall be of a species and grade suitable for its intended use, kiln dried, free from tool marks and other objectionable defects ELECTRICAL. PLUMBING AND HEATING: All equipment and materials shall comply with and be installed in accordance with Birmingham City Codes
