Replace approximately 3.5 miles of existing water mains at various locations as indicated on the plans. The new main pipe sizes range from 4 inch diameter to 12 inch diameter. Water line replacement work involves digging up the existing lines to a depth no deeper than 3 feet below grade, removal of degraded pipes, and placement of new pipes in the same trench. Traffic control plans signed a by a professional engineer will be required as specified in the Contract Documents.
