Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project shall be constructed in accordance with the current version of the Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS) and the current version of City of Davenport Supplemental Specifications to the SUDAS Specifications, except as modified by the Plans or Special Provisions. In the event of any conflict between the Special Provisions and the other Specifications, Proposal Form or Instructions to Bidders, the Special Provisions shall govern The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the construction of a Streetscape improvement along the south side of a portion of the 200 Block and theentirety of the 300 Block of East 2 ND Street. The work shall include removal of existing concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk, removal of existing light poles, utility removal and adjustment. It shall also include the construction of a 2 foot wide concrete curb and gutter, a four feet wide brick streetscape, a concrete sidewalk, installation of tree wells and decorative lighting, construction of ADA accessible ramps, relocation of storm sewer catch basins, construction of new storm sewer manholes, and utility structure adjustment/top replacement. The work is further described to include all excavation, filling, sloping, erosion control, associated surface restoration and traffic control. The quantities herein represent the Project Manager's estimate of the amount of work to be completed.Actual as-built quantities may vary from bid quantities. The contract time shall be per SUDAS Section 1080-1.02, A.3.a, Specified Start Date. The contract site is currently available. It is anticipated that the contract will be approved on February 23, 2022 and the Notice to Proceed will be issued as soon as all contract documents are in order. The specified start date to be set by the Notice to Proceed will be approximately April 4, 2022. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so
