Remove existing flooring (VCT), prep floor (concrete) and install City supplied VCT Mohawk C0009 Secoya Hot and Heavy 9 x 59 LVT Furniture moving will be required Prevailing Wages When applicable, the City is subject to the State of California prevailing wage laws as set forth in California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. The contractor is responsible for determining the appropriate Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) classification for the various employees and subcontractors used for a particular project or service. The rates for each classification are posted on the DIR website. All contractors performin Estimated Quantities The quantities furnished under this Bid are to be considered as approximate only and are to be used solely for the comparison of Bids received. The City does not expressly or by implication represent that the actual quantities involved will correspond exactly therewith; nor shall the Bidder plead misunderstanding or deception because of such estimate in accordance with the Specifications. Quantities may be increased or diminished. PRICE/COST All charges should be included on the Price Sheet which includes all associated costs (including but not limited to delivery, freight, etc.) Bidder must bid on all items. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. CHANGES / MODIFICATIONS The City reserves the right to order and/or accept changes in the scope of work and/or specification and resulting contract. The successful Bidder has the right to request an equitable price adjustment in cases where modifications to the contract under the authority of this clause result in increased costs to the contractor. Price adjustments will be based on the unit prices proposed by the Bidder in response to this solicitation. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 05/20/2021 1:00 PM (PDT) This CSP applies to all Contractors who provide or render construction or improvement services for Cityowned property and facilities. The Contractor services covered under this CSP include, but are not limited to, the following: A. New construction; B. Remodeling; C. Facility maintenance or repair; D. Equipment installation or maintenance; and E. Services (i.e. janitorial, fleet operations, landscaping, etc.) Consultants/ Professional service providers are exempt from having to submit a Safety Prequalification Questionnaire (SPQ), prior to the beginning of work, but they are expected to be compliant with industry best practices with regards to maintaining a safe work environment for their employees and others. Remove approximately 5800 square feet of existing VCT, Install approximately 5800 square feet of city provided Mohawk C0009 SECOYA HOT AND HEAVY 9x 59 floating LVT. Remove existing base and provide and install 575 L/F of 4 base. Remove glue, etc. from concrete floor and repair floor (float) as needed to ensure proper installation of new flooring. This work will consist of: Removal and disposal of approximately 5800 square feet of existing VCT tile. (City to provide onsite dumpster - city to haul away) Floor prep to include scraping, patch/fill where needed to ensure proper adhesion occurs for new flooring installation. Removing all furniture into unoccupied areas of the building Covering/protecting all furniture and wall space that will remain within work areas (counters, etc.) Installation (contractor to supply adhesive) of approximately 1500 Square Feet of Mohawk C0009 Secoya Hot and Heavy 9" x 59" LVT in the Recreation (Community Center) lobby and approximately 3,500 Square Feet of the same product in the Senior Center lobby, hallway, classrooms, and banquet hall. Remove existing and install approximately 575 Lineal Feet of new 4" black Rubber Base Labor and Material to provide and install two (2) 6 foot long by 8 foot wide walk off mats at entry doors. Carpet Choice: Mohawk Tuff Stuff II Step up II 955 Cobalt.
