Requests for clarification are due Friday, June 4, 2021 4:30:00 PM [(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)]. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. The work includes, but is not limited to, excavation; wet tap; construction of bypass connection within a bypass manhole; measures to maintain station flow and operations during the installation of flow meter and pressure sensor with associated valving and appurtenances; and interior and exterior restoration. The Flow Meter and Pressure Sensor with be purchased by the Township and made available to the Contractor. Detailed specifications developed by the Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the "Questions" feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of June 4, 2021. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for the employment are not discriminated against because of their, race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or because of a person's sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township. The Contract Term will commence after complete execution of the contract by all parties concerned and work is to begin upon the date of Notice to Proceed and receipt of purchase order, after which, work is to be completed within One Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days.
