Site work and new construction of a stadium in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 90,500-square-foot, two-story above grade, 2,500-seat stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
Lloydminster new event arena project, which will include the construction of a two (2) ice pad arena. In addition to the six softball diamonds being planned, an outdoor ice surface is also expected to be built, similar to the outdoor surface found at the Servus Sports Centre. The facility will be located south of 41 St., north of 36 St., and east of 40 Ave in southeast Lloydminster. The arena will have seating for up to 2500 people, a second full-size ice surface with seating for 300 to 500 people, and a third outdoor ice surface directly adjacent to the building. The Event Facility will replace the existing Centennial Civic Centre. TIMELINE: PCL Construction has been chosen as the Construction Manager, working in partnership with Bexson Construction Ltd. Ground breaking ceremony was held on August 29, 2023. Construction is underway. *Estimated construction budget was in the range of $61.6 million to $73 million. Construction management contract awarded at approx. $57 million. Refrigeration & Ice Specialist consultant is Mike Craig. Acoustics Consultant is VWMason Technology Consultants. *Absolutely no inquiries will be accepted at this time.
