Renovation of a museum in Dekalb, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The DeKalb Park District hereby issues a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a Historic Preservation Architect to provide their services for the historic Ellwood House Mansion located at 509 North 1st Street, DeKalb, IL 60115. This RFQ is an open call with no restrictions. The District and its chosen Firm will finalize a scope of work based on our recently completed Historic Structure Report, taking the project from schematic design through construction management. The tentative budget for this project is $1.2 million dollars (Note: this "all-in" amount shall cover all project costs including, but not limited to, professional service fees and expenses related to design and development: surveying, permitting, testing services, A/E service fees, construction contracts, FF&E, etc.). The District may elect to utilize the selected Firm for additional current or future work outside the scope of this project. RFQ packets are currently available by emailing a request to Mat Emken, Superintendent of Parks and Development at emken@dekalbparkdistrict.com. Interested firms should promptly indicate their intent to submit qualifications by sending an email to the above listed contact. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
