The project will include the construction of approximately 23,735 linear feet (4.5 miles) of natural surface singletrack recreation trail at Dans Mountain State Park in Lonaconing, Maryland (Allegany County). Trail is classified as Blue (More Difficult). It is the Department of General Services (DGS) intention to obtain goods and services, as specified in this Summary of Work, from a Contract between the selected Offeror and DGS. An Offeror, either directly or through its subcontractors, must be able to provide all goods and services and meet all of the requirements requested in this solicitation and the successful Offeror (the Contractor) shall remain responsible for Contract performance regardless of subcontractor participation in the work. The deadline for questions has been established as July 14th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., to ensure that there is enough time to allow for the A/E to provide responses and possible Addendum issuance if necessary. The PROJECT CLASSIFICATION for this solicitation is: B - $100,000 - $500,000 The work shall be completed within 540 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the General Conditions. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
