Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Watsonville, California. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
A detailed scope has not been identified. This project is included in the City of Watsonville FY 2021-2023 CIP. Per the owner, as of September 25, 2023, Caltrans is doing the design for the pedestrian bridge which is just a widening of the existing overpass. The owner states that this is in the Caltrans right-of-way. The owner states that other intersection improvements that are just outside the Caltrans right of way are being designed by Kimley-Horn. Owner states that they anticipate advertising this project for bids in the late summer of 2024 and construction is anticipated to begin on February 28, 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
