Renovation of an educational facility in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,300-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
Due to security reasons plans and specifications are only available through the owner The following work is advertised pursuant to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority's ("NJSDA") existing General Construction Services Task Order Contract, Contract No. GP-0259-C01, and constitutes a Task Order scope of work pursuant to that Contract. Bidding for the following work is, therefore, limited to participants in the existing General Construction Services Task Order Contract who hold a valid "Inclusion Notice" for the Northern Region for Contract No. GP-0259-C01. Accordingly, only bids from participants holding a valid "Inclusion Notice" for the Northern Region for Contract No. GP-0259-C01 will be considered for this work. The Bidder shall be responsible for delivery of such Bidders' Questions by 11:00 AM (local time) on June 23, 2021 to Alison Perry at APerry@njsda.gov. All responses to such Bidders' Questions shall be in the form of written Addenda. Estimated cost range: $1,751,434 to $2,140,642 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. General Construction services for the following scope of work: 1. Repair of existing concrete waffle slab cracks inside the occupied building with epoxy injection and Fiber Reinforcement Polymers (FRP). Areas of repair include the Cafeteria, Boys Locker Room, and Girls Locker Room. All cracks and surface deficiencies must be repaired prior to FRP application. Areas of repairs are to be painted. 2. Reinforcement of deflecting cantilevered slabs by installation of new exterior steel columns. Areas of installation includes the Third Floor Music and Digital Arts Rooms.
