Site work and renovation of a civil project in Duncansville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Contract No. 2020-01: General Construction - The General Contract consists of installation of new Owner-furnished rotary-type sludge dewatering press, sludge conveyor, polymer flocculation system, polymer feed system, two new sludge feed pumps and automatic system control panel at the Duncansville Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Contract also includes construction of a new building to house the sludge dewatering equipment, site potable water, sewer drains, and other utility extensions, demolition and removal of the obsolete belt filter press, repairs to an existing masonry building, cleaning, repainting and miscellaneous related work. Contract No. 2020-02: Electrical Construction - The Electrical Contract consists of furnishing and installing new electrical panels, lighting, outlets, electrical connections to equipment installed by the General Contractor and the Heating & Ventilation Contractor, site electrical distribution and related work. Also this contract includes demolition of existing electrical equipment associated with the obsolete belt filter press and its control panel. Contract No. 2020-03 Heating and Ventilation Construction - The Heating and Ventilation Contract consists of the furnishing and installation of an exhaust fan and louvers, unit heaters and related work in the new building to be constructed by the General Contractor. Contract No. 2020-04 Plumbing Construction - The Plumbing Construction Contract consists of the furnishing and installation of potable water and building sewer drain lines, floor drains, backflow preventer, sink, eyewash, hot water heater and related work in the new building to be constructed by the General Contractor. Bid security in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Prior to the award of the contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond to the Owner, in the form contained in the Contract Documents and executed by a satisfactory circular 570 listed surety, each equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The bidder will also furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The successful Bidders will be required to fully complete all work within 150 consecutive calendar days from, and including, the date indicated by the Owner in their written Notice to Proceed. The project is being financed in part by local funds and by a loan and grant from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST). The obligations imposed on the Owner by the financing agency shall apply to and be acceptable to the successful bidders. All Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Contract Compliance Regulations of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, 16 PA Code Chapter 49 and with all laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities. The Contractor shall adhere to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also comply with the provisions of the Act of March 3, 1978 (P.L. 6, No. 3 known as the "Steel Procurement Act"). The Duncansville Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the Authority.
