Paradise Row Substation, located at 90 Paradise Row, must be built and ready for energization by June 30th, 2022. The civil works and structural foundations must be complete before November 30th, 2021. The power transformers and switchgear building are being procured by Saint John Energy and will be arriving in spring 2022. This is the reasoning for the foundations needing to be done by November 30th, 2021. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following, please refer to the civil, structural, and electrical design drawings for more detailed scope of work specification: Civil Works: Perform all grubbing and clearing and supply and install proper materials necessary and bring site up to proper grade levels Bring site to specified elevations Supply and install materials for driveway and parking area Blend substation driveway into existing ashphalt Supply and install retaining walls and acoustic wall Supply and install two 16' by 12' manholes Hydroseed areas outlined in design drawings for restoration Structural Works: Construct transformer foundations, circuit switcher foundations, switchgear foundation, and various 66/69kV structure foundations Supply and install wood poles and steel structures Supply and install duct work for control cables Supply and install fence, gates and man doors Remove and disposal of construction debris and any unknown components encountered during the removal process Center equipment on foundations in order to minimize eccentric loads Install anchors in concrete accurately and in accordance with notes described per the structural drawings. Foundations, excavation, and backfilling to be carried out in accordance with structural drawings. Reinforced concrete to be installed in accordance with structural drawings. Electrical: Please note that the main incomer cables coming from the secondary of the two power transformers are out of scope of this contract (Labour & materials). The exit feeders from the switchgear are also out of scope of this contract Contractor to mount NBP metering cabinet inside the gear, mount the metering junction box on the structure, and the metering units on the structure.
