This project is part of the Princess Anne Plaza, The Lakes, and Windsor Woods Flood Protection Program Master Project. It includes design, property acquisition, and construction of channels and a tide gate along the Lakes and Green Run canals and along London Bridge Creek immediately south of and adjacent to the Lynnhaven Parkway crossing. This project includes channel separation and upgrades along the Lakes and Green Run canals and a multiple-opening tide gate facility along London Bridge Creek immediately southeast of and adjacent to the Lynnhaven Parkway crossing. Ancillary features of the project include flood barriers, and an entrance drive and bridge structure to access the tide gate facility. Stationary and movable flood barriers are also a component of this project. The City of Virginia Beach, Virginia is soliciting statements of interest and qualifications from Architectural/Engineering firms to provide technical engineering services as required for The Lakes - South London Bridge Creek Channels and Gate project. This project is part of The Lakes, Princess Anne Plaza, and Windsor Woods Combined Drainage Improvements Program (Overall Program). This project includes channel separation and upgrades along the Lakes and Green Run canals and a multiple-opening tide gate facility along London Bridge Creek immediately southeast of and adjacent to the Lynnhaven Parkway crossing. Ancillary features of the project include flood barriers, and an entrance drive and bridge structure to access the tide gate facility. Stationary and movable flood barriers are also a component of this project. The primary anticipated services include, but are not limited to, design development, preparation of construction documents, bid services and construction phase services for channel modifications, multiple-opening tide gate facility, flood barriers, movable barriers, water level sensors and tide gate operation control facilities, drainage improvements, bridge improvements, utility improvements, and other site improvements. This is a multiphase project which requires the completion of earlier phases of work to obtain critical information necessary to determine the scope of succeeding phases. Statements of Interest and qualifications should be limited to 25 pages (front and back in total) (minimum 12pt font). The Firm Data Sheet and resumes (if needed) can be included in an appendix that will not count towards the 25-page total. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
