Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of March 15, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. The project involves improvements to the existing campground. Campground improvements includes replacement of existing shower house with a new shower house, six (6) new camper cabins on existing sites, ten (10) RV full hookups on existing sites, minimum improvements to twelve (12) existing tent camping sites, septic system improvements or replacement, campground road improvements/parking, and campground hiking trail realignment. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 30 days. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for unlimited license. The bidder shall include with the bid proposal the form Identification of Minority Business Participation identifying the minority business participation it will use on the project and shall include either Affidavit A or Affidavit B as applicable. Forms and instructions are included within the Proposal Form in the bid documents. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. All Questions are to be in writing even if asked during the meeting. The development includes an improved one way loop road, 10 new RV campsites, 12 new tent campsites, 6 new cabin sites and shower house with parking. A new water meter for the campground and electrical service to the site from the park is required. A new pump station from the existing septic system is requried. Each of the RV campsites will have hooks-ups for water, sewer and electricity. Each of the cabins will have electrical service. The cabins will have a PTAC for heating and cooling. The new shower house with men's and womens multi-fixture restrooms and one family restroom will serve the site. The building will have limited heating for pipe protection and occupant comfort while showering. Mechanical ventilation will be provided
