The City plans to conduct a capacity study for the future Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant (CCWRP) Vehicle Storage and Office Building facility to house large vehicles and equipment from the elements, and design additional office space into the storage facility. A vehicle storage facility is important to provide protection against the coastal corrosive elements for City vehicles and other treatment plant equipment. Building a vehicle storage facility for the Wastewater Division of Public Works was identified a desirable element to include at the facility since the Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant (CCWRP) was first commissioned in the year 2000. The CCWRP Vehicle Storage and Office Facility Project was introduced back in 2016 as part of the City's long-term Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and is included in the CIP for fiscal year 2019-2020 which was approved by City Council on June 10, 2019. It is City's desire to have the Selected Consultant evaluate three potential options previously identified and along with other office space requirement factors, determine an appropriate design for vehicle storage and office space Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant.
