For the SR 503 Shared Use Pathway (CP-TR-2016-04) project and other related work. Bids properly received will be publicly opened and read at the City of Battle Ground City Hall. This contract provides for the construction of a multi-use 10' wide paved trail along SR 503 (NW 10th Avenue) between SR 502 (W Main Street) to NW Onsdorff Blvd. The project includes clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, storm sewer conveyance, detention, HMA paving, erosion control, traffic control, pavement marking and other work. All bid proposals, over $100,000, shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Battle Ground Transportation Fund. The City of Battle Ground in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The contractor will be required to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Battle Ground in connection with the performance of the contract and provide for the City to be named as an additional insured on commercial general liability at least as broad as CG00 01 and auto liability policies at the required amounts as outlined in the contract.
