Project #21-002 EDC* M21038 The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) is posting a bid for new construction Georgia State Patrol Post 33 in Milledgeville, GA. Brick façade, metal roof, 6388 square feet. The project is being bid to licensed General Contractors who will provide all labor, material, equipment and supplies to complete the work. The project is under the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Fire Marshal. DPS already has the construction permit from the State and the City does not issue permits on State projects/state property. Work shall begin as soon as schedule allows after award notice. Contractor must complete and have notarized the GA Security and Immigration Affidavit. Make sure you are registered with the Dept of Revenue and are current with any tax payments as this is part of being a responsible supplier to be awarded a bid. Other documents are attached that also must be completed and uploaded to bid. Licensed General Contractors must provide proof of liability insurance with DPS as the certificate holder. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount is required. A copy needs to be uploaded to the bid with the notary stamp visible. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount equal to the bid are required by the successful bidder. Proof of liability insurance with DPS as certificate holder is required in the amounts for construction listed in the eRFQ instruction document. They must be received within 10 days of Notice of Award.
