As of Aug. 19, 2021 Project was awarded for $141,406.50 The work is generally described as follows: Removal and replacement of wooden support columns for an existing hangar at the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid. Contractors must be qualified under Mississippi Law and be registered with the State of Mississippi and as a licensed general contractor capable of performing the required work. Awarding public contracts to non-resident Bidders will be on the same basis as the non-resident bidder state awards contracts to Mississippi Contractors bidding under similar circumstances. In order to ensure that Mississippis Golden Rule is followed, state law requires a non-resident bidder to attach to his bid, a copy of his/her resident state's current laws pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.
