Lake Louella Dam is a Category-I structure within the Georgia Safe Dams Program Inventory located in Peachtree Ridge Park; the dam was recently elevated in classification from its previous Category-II designation and must be modified to meet Category-I requirements. The improvements design for Lake Louella Dam will consist of raising the height of the embankment by 0.8 feet, installing a 2.1-ft high parapet wall for freeboard wave protection and a concrete labyrinth weir for the auxiliary spillway. In addition, a 9' x 3' concrete riser with a 36" RCPP outlet pipe will be added adjacent to the auxiliary spillway with a separate discharge pool.
