This project would replace the existing four-inch cast iron water mains with new 8" ductile iron pipe water mains. The Project also includes asphalt paving, replacing damaged sidewalk, curb and gutter, and installing new ADA ramps. Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the prevailing rates of wages and apprenticeships employment standards established by the State Director of Industrial Relations and the Federal government will be required. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the City of Alhambra for an amount no less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid.No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. The successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City. Prior to beginning work, the Contractor must possess a valid California Class A or C-34 license. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
