Renovation of a municipal facility in Shelby Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a vendor to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the complete execution of the roof repair at the Macomb County Department of Roads - Shelby Service Center location. The goal is to select the most capable vendor offering the most competitive price. This proposal is in accordance with the Macomb County Procurement Policy. All questions or clarifications must be directed to the Purchasing Department. Any attempt to contact a County department, other than Purchasing, regarding current Proposals may be grounds for disqualification as a vendor. Macomb County reserves the right to accept any and all Proposals, or to negotiate contract terms with the various Proposers when such is deemed by Macomb County to be Macomb County's best interest. Macomb County reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals in whole or in part and to waive any informalities therein, or accept any Proposal it may deem in the best interest of the County. Note: Past experience and performance may be a factor in making an award. The project consists of all necessary labor, materials and equipment required for the complete execution of all the work specified herein The following Scope of Work shall be used as an outline for the work to be performed. Proposals must include all labor, materials, equipment, debris/trash removal, transportation, services, permits and taxes for completion of work outlined and must be in accordance with local codes and ordinances. 1) At north east corner section: apply QD primer to base of curbs, 5 course 3 curbs with Polyroof LV and 6 inch Burmesh. Apply Alumination 301 to repairs. Install draw-bands and sealant to 4 vent stacks. Apply 6-inch uncured coverstrip to base of flashings, apply metal lap sealant to repairs. Materials: Approved equivalent may be used if it meets or exceeds the specifications of the material cited. All alternative materials must be listed on the bid sheet and specification sheets for the materials must be included with bid submission. 2) Center connector roof: Apply single ply primer to ridge to panel transition on east side, flash with 9-inch uncured flashing and apply metal lap sealant. 3) Upper bay roof: Apply single ply primer to 16 vents, wrap base with 6-inch uncured cover strip and apply metal lap sealant to repairs. Install draw-bands and sealant to vents. 4) Tighten existing fasteners on gutter edge, west and east sides, apply bead of Solargard seam sealer to existing fastener heads. 5) Apply a bead of metal sealant to joints on the ridge 6) Remove 330 feet of damaged downspout around upper roofs, install matching pipe and bands.
