As of July 28, 2021, this project was awarded to Iroquois Paving for $348,673.01. The project consists of constructing approximately 1,262 feet of 12- inch PVC sanitary sewer main, along with necessary structures, service connections, and appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. A Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Fairbury reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City. It is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from opening thereof or it will be subject to forfeit the 5% Bid Bond provided with the bid. Work on this project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130). Prevailing Wages, as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and the current Prevailing wage ordinance approved by the City of Fairbury Council, shall be paid. The submission of monthly certified payrolls to the City of Fairbury will be required. Work on this project is subject to the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Project Act as enacted by P.A. 95-0635. The project work falls entirely within the right-of-way of the Toledo, Peoria, & Western (T, P, & W) Railroad and its parent company Genesee & Wyoming Railroad. Bidders are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the railroad insurance and access requirements included in the Bidding Documents so as not to delay the start or completion of the project.
