The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Facility Planning, Construction and Management requests the submittal of qualifications from interested Design-Build Entities to provide services for the following phases: preliminary plans, working drawings, bidding, construction and commissioning for the replacement or repair of the Fire Alarm System and its components; and the five-year inspection testing, maintenance or repair of the Overhead Fire Suppression Systems as necessary throughout the institution and its support buildings. The CDCR (also referred to as the "State") is using the "Design-Build" method of project delivery for the design and construction of the Project. The State will use a two-step process to select the Design-Build Entity for the Project: Step 1 - REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) - pre-qualification of Design-Build Entities. Step 2 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) - up to the three (3) top-scoring Design-Builder Entities will be invited to submit a proposal for the Project in response to the RFP. This conference is intended to review the RFQ process and submittal requirements, general Project Overview, Scope of Services, Project Timeline, and the State's Small Business and Disabled Veteran's Business Enterprise (DVBE) program goals and requirements. Due to the current pandemic and CDCR social distancing policies, only one representative from each firm is allowed to attend RFQ Briefing Conference.
