The City of Smiths Station (Owner) is requesting Qualifications for Professional Services for the following City Departments: Public Works & Stormwater Grounds Maintenance Equipment Procurement & Financing RFQ #2021-01 The Project includes the following Work: Smiths Station is a fast-growing City that is looking to engage in a contractual agreement with a professional public works management company to provide various city services. The successful respondent must have a proven track record in managing and operation public works functions such as roadway maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, stormwater planning and management, traffic signage and signals, and grounds maintenance and beautification. The successful respondent must possess appropriate licensing for herbicide and pesticide application. Smiths Station is estimating $2,000,000 to $3,000,000 worth of equipment will be required to perform all the services the City is Requesting. The successful respondent must have the ability to procure and finance the required equipment. The Successful respondent must also possess the following insurance coverage. A Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with all submissions. a) Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Part One: Workers Compensation - Statutory Limits as required by the State of Alabama Part Two: Employers Liability Bodily Injury by Accident $1,000,000 Each Accident Bodily Injury by Disease $1,000,000 Each Employee Bodily Injury by Disease $1,000,000 Policy Limit b) Commercial General Liability Each Occurrence $1,000,000 Personal and Advertising Injury $1,000,000 Products/Completed Operation Aggregate $2,000,000 General Aggregate $2,000,000 The Insured shall name the City of Smiths Station, its employees, and agents as additional insureds. c) Automobile Liability Covering all Owned, Non-Owned, and Hired vehicles with a combined Single Limit (bodily injury and property damage combined) of $1,000,000 each accident. The policy shall name the City of Smiths Station, its employees, and agents as additional insureds. d) Excess/Umbrella Liability Coverage to be on an occurrence form with limits over a) Employers Liability, b) Commercial General Liability, c) Automobile Liability, d) Pollution Liability, and e) Professional Liability. Limits of Liability Each Occurrence $10,000,000 Aggregate $10,000,000 e) Professional Liability Coverage shall be maintained during design, construction and for twenty-four (24) months after completion and acceptance by the City of Smiths Station. Limits of Liability Each Claim $1,000,000 Aggregate $2,000,000 Deductible/Retention not to exceed $25,000 without prior approval of the City of Smiths Station. f) Pollution Liability Coverage to include bodily injury, sickness and disease sustained by any person, property damage, cleanup costs caused by pollution conditions arising from your operations.
