The tabulation of Bids will be considered by the City Commission of the City of Alamogordo at its next regular meeting, or at a later meeting if required. The work will consist of the following: The construction and installation of improvements to the Bonito Lake Dam including new valves and piping, improvements to the intake tower, a new cat walk to the intake tower, new upstream dam facing and other related appurtenances. Construction Industries Division (CID) Project Classification Determination is GF-98. In accordance with the provisions of the New Mexico Construction Industries Licensing Act, all project work must be performed by properly licensed contractors and subcontractors with active licenses in good standing as of the date and time specified for Bid Opening. Prospective BIDDERS are advised that there will be NO 10% Bid Evaluation Criterion for area (local) businesses, NO Resident Business Preference, and NO Resident Veterans Preference that will apply to this Project. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total Bid amount. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Bid amount to assure performance of the Contract, and payment for all labor and materials of the Contract. This project is wholly or partially funded with United States Environmental Protection Agency funds, and therefore must comply with all federal cross cutter requirements. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, and the City of Alamogordo reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and waive all technicalities and formalities. No BIDDER may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid Opening thereof. Attention of BIDDERS is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
