Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) as of the date and time of the bid opening as C047- Electrical or COOS General Construction or COOS-General Construction Alterations and Additions Additionally, as of the date of the bid opening, if the bidder is not classified by the DPMC in the following disciplines, the bidder shall be required to retain subcontractors that are so classified by the DPMC, which subcontractors shall be listed in the bid and all documentation provided as required by the bid specifications and applicable law. COOS General Construction or COO9-General Construction Alterations and Additions CO47- Electrical Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond from a surety company licensed to do business in New Jersey, in the amount of ten percent of the base bid submitted, but not in excess of $20,000.00, made payable to the Wallington Board of Education. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Board reserves the right, in accordance with applicable laws, to waive any minor irregularities in or to reject any or all bids. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words Sealed Bid - Electrical Service Upgrade Project 3709A. The envelope must be addressed to Business Administrator, Wallington Board of Education, 32 Pine Street, Wallington, NJ 07057 and may be delivered by hand or overnight courier. The envelope containing the bid must be received by the Business Administrator by the date and time set forth. Any contractor submitting a bid must be listed on the official bidders list. Any bid received from a contractor that is not a listed plan holder will be rejected.
