Renovation of a transportation facility in Seatac, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 237,000-square-foot transportation facility.
The North Main Terminal Redevelopment is a progressive design-build renovation project that expands Security Checkpoint 5 to improve passenger processing and renovates the existing promenade with new interior finishes, lighting and wayfinding. To support the redevelopment, the existing structure will be seismically retrofitted and upgrade MEP/T/S/FP systems. The project also adds additional passenger check-in and office components and upgrades baggage handling capabilities. The heavily phased project features two primary phases with seven major sub-phases to support ongoing operations and maintain passenger access during construction. From orig solicitation: Alaska Airlines invites the submission of written qualifications from entities interested in providing design-build services for the design and construction for the renovation of the North Main Terminal at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport ("N.M.T.R.Project"). Alaska Airlines will conduct a two-step procurement process for the N.M.T.R Project. This RFQ is the first step, and it sets forth the process for soliciting and evaluating Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") from entities interested in serving as the Design-Builder. The SOQs will be reviewed and evaluated by Alaska Airlines in accordance with this RFQ and will result in the development of a shortlist of the best qualified firms that will be invited to participate in the second step of the procurement process, which entails responding to a Request for Proposals ("RFP").
