Bids will be considered and acted upon by the Meskwaki Office of Procurement on June 21, 2021, or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. The Tribe reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Time for Commencement, No Work, and Completion ofWork. The approximate start date shall be June 28, 2021. USACE Permit approval has been submitted. Although Permit approval is anticipated prior to the bid letting date, the start date is dependent upon receipt ofapproval by the USACE. All work shall cease and equipment shall be removed from the work site 1 week prior to the Meskwaki Pow Wow on August 12-15, 2021. Work may resume on August 23,2021 ifneeded. All work shall be completed by August 30,2021, all ofwhich shall be subject to any extensions oftime which may be granted by the Owner. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award ofContract a corporate surety bond, in form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance ofthe Contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent ofthe amount ofthe Contract The bidder's security shall be in the amount fixed in the Instruction to Bidders and shall be in the form ofa cashier's check, a certified check, or a bank money order drawn on a FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on a FDIC insured bank chartered underthe laws ofthe United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the Jurisdiction. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. This fee is REFUNDABLE, provided the following conditions are met: 1 ) The plans and specifications are returned to CGA complete and in good usable condition, and 2) they are returned to the above address within fourteen (14) calendar days after the award ofthe project. Sales Tax. The Jurisdiction will issue special exemption certificates to Contractors and Sub-Contractors allowing them to purchase, or withdraw from inventory, materials for the Contract free from sales tax. General Nature of Public Improvement. The extent ofthe work is as follows: Repair ofriverbank with Class 13 Excavation, Class D Rip Rap and Gabion Basket reinforcement.
