S. 37:2163 A (1). All bidders shall meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractors Licensing law, Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150 through 2164, as amended. As a requirement under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2163, this project is classified as Building Construction. Sureties used for obtaining Bonds must appear as acceptable on the Department of Treasury Circular 570. In accordance with R.S 38:2212 (A) (1)(b), the provisions and requirements stated in the Advertisement for Bids and those required on the Bid Form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. The successful Bidder will be allowed THREE HUNDRED SIXTY (360) calendar days to complete the Project from the date established in a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages will be assessed at $800.00 for each consecutive calendar day for which work is not substantially completed beyond the date set as the completion date in the Notice to Proceed or as amended by Change Order. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
