Power-washing of Exterior Facade & Removal/Replacement of Caulk Joints 1. The complete cleaning/power-washing ofthe exterior ofthe building as well as the replacement ofthe existing exterior control/caulk joints. 2. The cleaning ofthe existing windows after the work is complete Bids must include all applicable allowances, unit prices, and numbered alternate bids. All visitors need to sign-in at the security desk, get Visitor passes and take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Prospective bidders need to allow themselves adequate time in order to submit their bid packages by 11:00 AM. ANY MASK/SOCIAL DISTANCING MANDATES ISSUED BY THE MIDDLESEX COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES NEED TO BE FOLLOWED. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C 17:27et seq. CONTRACT BIDS: Includes all work and materials required to complete the project. Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding Documents in preparing Bids. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Upon failure to do so, the bid security will become liable up to its full amount for any difference between the amount of his bid and the Contract which the Owner may be obliged to award another bidder or bidders. The bid security deposits of all excepting the three lowest bidders will, if requested, be returned after ten (10) days from the opening of bids, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the remaining deposits will be returned when the contract of the successful bidder is approved. The successful bidder will be required to furnish New Jersey Statutory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract sum. The Owner reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids, if deemed to be in the best interest of the owner. Attention of the bidders is called particularly to the requirements of conditions of employment and to the current minimum prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract as stated in the Instructions to Bidders, the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, and the Supplementary General Conditions. Bidders are required to comply with the "Affirmative Action" requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L.1975 c.127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders shall contact Kevin Marcinczyk (732-745-3523) for on-site investigation. In compliance with P.L. 1999, c. 440, all addenda will be issued for receipt no later than June 15, 2021. Any request for clarification or interpretation must be in writing and in the office of the Architect no later than noon (12:00 p.m. prevailing time) on June 14, 2021 without exceptions.
