Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Alameda, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 332-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The Work for the GODFREY PARK REC. BLDG. RENOVATION Project includes the following: Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services, testing, permits, select hazardous materials abatement, special inspections during construction, temporary controls and construction facilities, and all General Conditions, General Requirements and incidentals required to complete the GODFREY PARK REC. BLDG. RENOVATION Project as generally described within the Project Manual. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: a) Selective interior demolition and complete renovation of three existing attached restrooms within the existing Godfrey Park Recreation Building, which includes new floors, walls, ceiling, doors, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, new drinking fountain,toilet fixtures and accessories, and interior finishes. b) Selective demolition and renovation of exterior concrete flatwork, some interior rooms and spaces, appliances, floors, ceilings, and walls immediately adjacent to the attached restrooms, which includes new kitchen counters, base and overhead cabinets, partial new interior finishes, floors, walls, ceilings, and doors, renovated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, a new gas-fired furnace (Bid Alternate # 1), and additional exteriorconcrete flatwork at the backside of the Rec. Bldg. (Bid Alternate # 2). c) Complete interior painting of the Recreation Building, new renovations and all existing rooms and spaces. d) Selective abatement of hazardous materials (surveyed and documented in the HazardousMaterials Survey (APPENDIX A, Project Manual) touched or impacted by the selective demolition and renovation scope, which includes asbestos-containing materials, leadcontaining and lead-based paints and materials, and PCB-containing materials. (Intent of this scope is to reduce and/or limit the number of haz. mat. containment areas as much as practical, in pursuit of an efficient and cost effective abatement effort.) e) Selective ADA renovations, improvements, of certain doors, thresholds and door hardware, including partial demolition and renovation of exterior accessible path of travel. f) Procuring independent third-party special inspections Consultant for construction and materials; for reinforcing steel, concrete placement and cylinder testing, soils compaction, footing excavations, maximum soils density, and 'Field Quality Control' for Resinous Flooring, if/as required BID ALTERNATE #: 2: Removal, disposal, and replacement of approximately 300 SF of existing exterior concrete plaza flatwork just outside (northeast) the Kitchenette and Community Space. (New concrete plaza flatwork to match, exactly, existing concrete modules, spacing, finish, color, and texture.) The Contract Time will be sixty-five (65) consecutive working days (approx. three (3) months) from the date the work is to commence pursuant to the Notice to Proceed
