Renovation of a medical facility in Big Spring, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
AS of August 19, 2021, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award not yet been established. Deadline for submitting Questions: Friday, June 18, 2021 by 5:00 P.M. Central Time Asbestos and lead abatement will be part of the construction contract, reference Attach H-3 - Volume II - Abatement Abandoned Design. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: SCOPE OF WORK, BUILDING NO. 507 It is the intent of these drawings that the new work will provide a watertight facility. The attached specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. Low-Sloped Roofing Area A: Work shall include tear off of the existing roof system to substrate, install a two-ply vapor barrier and adhere specified tapered insulation in addition to a substrate board, install one ply of SBS modified bitumen base ply, and one ply of SBS modified bitumen granulated cap sheet. Provide a twenty (20) year NDL manufacturer's warranty and a two (2) year contractor's warranty. Work shall also include all HVAC and electrical, piping disconnect and re-connection. Installation shall be as per NRCA, SMACNA, ANSI/SPRI, specifications, details and manufacturer's guidelines. Low-Sloped Roofing Areas B & C: Work shall include tear off of existing roofs down to the deck, mechanically fastening venting base sheet per ASCE 7 criteria, install a two-ply vapor barrier and adhere specified tapered insulation in addition to a substrate board, install one ply of SBS modified bitumen base ply, and one ply of SBS modified bitumen granulated cap sheet. Provide a twenty (20) year NDL manufacturer's warranty and a two (2) year contractor's warranty. Work shall also include all HVAC and electrical, piping disconnect and re-connection. Installation shall be as per NRCA, SMACNA, ANSI/SPRI, specifications, details and manufacturer's guidelines. SCOPE OF WORK, BUILDING NO. 508 It is the intent of these drawings that the new work will provide a watertight facility. The attached specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. Low-Sloped Roofing Area B: Work shall include tear off of the existing roof system to substrate, install a two-ply vapor barrier and adhere specified tapered insulation in addition to a substrate board, install one ply of SBS modified bitumen base ply, and one ply of SBS modified bitumen granulated cap sheet. Low-Sloped Roofing Areas C: Work shall include performing remedial repairs to the existing metal roof assembly as specified. All work shall be performed per these specifications as follows: Work shall include proper preparation of the existing metal roofing system to receive new elastomeric roof coating system. Substrate preparation shall include, but not be limited to, all flashing details at horizontal and vertical seams, penetrations, curbs, and fasteners. All work shall be performed per these specifications. SCOPE OF WORK, BUILDING NO. 527 It is the intent of these drawings that the new work will provide a watertight facility. The attached specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. Low-Sloped Roofing Area B & C: Work shall include tear off of existing roofs down to the deck, mechanically fastening base sheet per ASCE 7 criteria, install one ply of SBS modified bitumen base ply, and one ply of SBS modified bitumen granulated cap sheet. Provide a twenty (20) year NDL manufacturer's warranty and a two (2) year contractor's warranty. Work shall also include all HVAC and electrical, piping disconnect and re-connection. SCOPE OF WORK, BUILDING NO. 532/533 link It is the intent of these drawings that the new work will provide a watertight facility. The attached specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. Low-Sloped Roofing Areas 523 / 533 link: Work shall include demolition of the existing wood structure of the canopy including the existing roof, wood deck, and wood beams resting on the existing steel columns. Coordinate disconnection and reconnection of all utilities during the demolition and construction schedule. Clean, prime, and paint the existing steel columns to receive new framing. Construct a new steel framed canopy on top of the existing steel columns as detailed. Provide a new plywood substrate, underlayment and standing seam prefinished roof as specified on the new structure and reconnect all services back to original. SCOPE OF WORK, BUILDING NO. 547 It is the intent of these drawings that the new work will provide a watertight facility. The attached specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. Low-Sloped Roofing Area A: Work shall include performing remedial repairs to the existing urethane foam roof assembly as specified. All work shall be performed per these specifications as follows: Work shall include proper preparation of the existing urethane foam roofing system to receive new elastomeric roof coating system. Substrate preparation shall include, but not be limited to, all flashing details at horizontal and vertical seams, penetrations, curbs, and fasteners. All work shall be performed per these specifications. For complete project information, refer to Attachment(s) H of Exhibit C, Project Specifications, Drawings and Abatement Abandoned Design.The Texas Department of State Health Services has determined that COVID- 19 represents a public health disaster within the meaning of Chapter 81 of the Texas Health and Safety Code; the suspension of site visits at this time is a necessary precaution to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and to protect patients, residents, contractors, and employees at the respective facility; therefore, until further notice, personal review site visits at the facility will not be conducted, and references to sitevisits should be disregarded unless you are notified otherwise. In lieu of the personal site visit, Respondent must carefully review Exhibit H. Exhibit H consists of photographs or a PowerPoint of the site conditions as visual aids to assist the Respondent in determining costs for the Project
