Reconstruction of approximately 16140 SY of existing payement with new 8" concrete pavement. Portions of existing curb and gutter along Cathedral Ave. and it's side streets will be removed and replaced. Various sidewalks will be reconstructed and multiple driveway approaches throughout the project limits will be removed and replaced. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check or a bid bond, payable to the Ellis County, Kansas, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Each bidder to whom a contract for the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Contract Bond and a Payment Bond executed on the specified forms and acceptable to the Ellis County, Kansas, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. Ellis County, KS reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids/proposals, to waive any irregularities in such bids/proposals, and to accept such bids/proposals that are the most responsive and best suits the Ellis County, KS. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of Ellis County Approximately 16140 SY of existing pavement on Cathedral Avenue between 6th Str on the South and 13th Str on the North shall be removed and replaced with new 8" concrete pavement. Portions of existing curb and gutter along Cathedral Ave and its intersecting cross streets will be removed and replaced. Most of the existing sidewalks will be reconstructed and/or relocated. Multiple driveway approaches throughout the project limits will be removed and replaced with 6" concrete. Efforts have been made to better the water drainage within the project limits. A storm sewer pipe underneath the pavement running between the two storm inlets shall be removed and replaced.
