Brief Scope: The Harborview Medical Center Maleng Building Single Patient Rooms Project entails the design and construction services associated with conversion of two 18,000 square foot floors currently used for outpatient clinic into inpatient units, providing up to 40 new single patient rooms. The phased project will take place in two buildings: Ninth and Jefferson, and Maleng. Estimated contract price: $50 to $55 million for design and construction. This contract includes development and submittal of an Equity and Social Justice (ESJ) Innovation Plan. The ESJ Innovation Plan details the approach, strategies, and actionable steps that will be taken to maximize the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) firms. DBE, MBE, and WBE firms must be certified by a Unified Certification Program (UCP) as a DBE, MBE or WBE. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work for this project will be defined by the Final Facility Program and Performance Standards for the Harborview Maleng Single Patient Room Project authored by the Maleng Single Patient Rooms Project Team and recommended for approval by Harborview s Capital Improvement Council (CIC).
