Award Details Contract Award Date: Apr 18, 2022 Contract Award Number: 36C24822C0037 Task/Delivery Order Number: Contractor Awarded Unique Entity ID: Contractor Awarded Name: Richard Group, LLC Contractor Awarded Address: Glenview, IL 60026 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $7328777.40 Project Title: Upgrade Water Mains Building 1 Project Number: 546-19-102 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 is seeking sources and intends to award a fixed-price contract for construction services for the complete project, which include construction services, for Project # 546-19-102, "Upgrade Water Mains Building 1" located at the Miami VA Healthcare System at 1201 NW 16th Street Miami, Florida 33125. This Project is planned to replace/upgrade the water mains to Building 1 and analyze the need to replace isolation valves. The water mains were installed in 1967 as part of the original project and are in poor condition. Also, the underground mains consist of transite, asbestos piping. This type of piping is very difficult to work with and requires special techniques to fix and requires disposal via approved means. Some water mains run in the crawl space underneath the buildings on the campus and in chases and have developed leaks which require extensive demolition and construction to correct. This project scope will also address in the Miami VA Hospital buildings including, evaluating, improving, replacing, upgrading the water mains to Building 1 and replace isolation valves. Scope of Demolition: Demolition work will primarily remove the existing underground transite water mains. Currently being studied is the option of abandoning in place the existing transite piping in certain locations and filling with suitable materials. Also being studied is the budget needs required to replace isolation valves throughout the building Project Magnitude: $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 MBE (39.5%), WBE (6.9%), DVBE (100%)
