For Influent Pump Station Screenings Conveyance System. Drawings and General Provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other Specification Sections, apply to this Section. The Work under this contract includes the furnishing of labor, materials, tools and equipment, which is required for the completion of the Project in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. The work consists generally of constructing: Modifications to existing fine screens to remove one of three screens, relocate one screen, modify the angle of the screens, and installation of one manual bar screen; Installation of a conveyance system that will convey all materials collected from the fine screens, including required wash water to clean the fine screens, to the existing grinders, washers and compactors ("GWC"); Relocation of GWC drain lines into fine screen forebay instead of wet well; Removal, reuse and demolition of an abandoned odor control facility; relocation of odor control piping as necessary for equipment and personnel accessibility; Installation of an elevated fall protection railing system for working on and around all screening equipment; Removal of existing CMU blocks as necessary for the installation of a new roll-up door in the GWC building; Installation of various size trench drains in the GWC building; Removal of existing concrete and installation of removable checker plate panels in front of the coarse grinder/screen; Modification/installation of various size piping systems; Various concrete saw cutting and installation of two aluminum access hatches. Lead Agency: City of Escondido. The work will be constructed under a single prime contract. The work will be conducted per the schedule set forth by the contractor. The Contractor shall coordinate the construction schedule and operations with the City.
