Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Auburn, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The completed Work will provide the Owner with upgrades to the James Estes Water Treatment Plant (WTP) including the following: A new carbon feed facility at the Raw Water Pump Station. New hoseless sludge collection equipment in two (2) sedimentation basins. Structural improvements and coatings for concrete structures. New filter valves with electric actuators at all eight (8) filters. New backwash flow meter. Two (2) new sodium hypochlorite tanks, and new sodium hypochlorite feed pumps and feed piping system. New liquid lime storage and feed system. New submersible pumps in the Washwater Waste Basin. New roofing system at the Main Electrical Building. New Motor Control Centers (MCC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in the Main Electrical Building. Updated plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for operation with new and updated plant equipment. The Work will be completed in all respects within 365 calendar days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the amount bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Water Works Board of the City of Auburn. The AWWB reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder as the best interest of the AWWB may require, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received. Bids will be good for sixty (60) days after being opened by the AWWB.
