To perform a structural rehabilitation of the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion located at 6871 Roberts St, Burnaby, BC V5B 3C1. The Contractor must deliver to the City the following scopes of work including but not necessarily limited to: (a) Removal and disposal of bleacher support beams; (b) Removal and disposal of composite steel and concrete decking; (c) Removal and disposal of existing timber railing; (d) Supply and replace undersized stringer; (e) Supply and install composite steel and concrete decking; (f) Supply and replace pile caps; (g) Supply and repair pile caps with steel channels; (h) Supply and replace timber stingers; and (i) All works incidental thereto as shown on the drawings in Attachment M - Engineering Drawings Upon the request and at the direction of the City, the Contractor shall supply and deliver to the City the following optional scopes of work, including but not necessarily limited to: (a) Installation of new steel/timber railings (due to an uncertainty with grandstand occupancy limits and additional egress requirements, the installation of the new railing may be postponed) (b) Removal and replacement of pavilion building north exit. The pavilion building north exit may require replacement after its condition assessment in 2022. Design drawings will be provided to the successful Contractor when the scope of work is confirmed; and (c) Removal and replacement of bridge pier superstructure between bents 20 to 23. The type of work is similar to Grandstand superstructure replacement. Scope of work for bridge pier to be confirmed and the design drawings will be provided to the Contractor.
