The scope of work for this construction project generally includes furnishing all labour, material and equipment necessary for the construction and installation of Lamella Settling Tube Modules and Air Scour Systems as outlined herein. This shall include confined space entry into each of the Densadeg Clarifiers at each facility. There are two Densadeg Clarifiers per facility, and one must remain operational at all times. The contract schedule shall include sufficient time to allow HW Operations staff time to prepare the selected Densadeg Clarifier to allow the Work to commence. The Halifax arrangement includes four (4) Air Scour Systems per clarifier and the Herring Cove arrangement includes two (2) Air Scour Systems per clarifier. The work shall include all surface preparation and installations for each system including but not limited to: supporting system including beams, brackets and hardware, air headers network of perforated pipes, drop legs, butterfly valves as outlined on the approved shop drawings. Vendor is responsible for assessing and implementing the best method to allow for the work to be completed via scaffolding, rope access services or other approved engineered method. Any anchors required to be installed for access shall be engineered (designed and stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed to practice in Nova Scotia) prior to implementation. For sequencing of work it is the intent that both the Halifax and Herring Cove systems will be constructed at the same time to minimize construction duration.
