Site work and paving for a road / highway in Plainfield Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Base Bid for items 1 through 6 consists of the Contractor supplying all materials, labor, tools and equipment to install 2,609 tons of Superpave 9.5mm asphalt for a Wearing Course, 978 tons of Superpave 9.5mm asphalt for a Scratch/Leveling Course, 100 square yards of Asphalt Driveway Adjustments as directed by the Township and 7,546 linear feet of a 4" Double Yellow Center Line with Glass Beads. All work and material are to be done in accordance with the latest Pennsylvania Department of Transportation requirements Publication 408, Publication 447 and Work Zone Traffic Control, Publication 213. This project is being funded all or partially by State Liquid Fuels funds. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security (Bid Bond) in the form of certified check, bank cashier's check or surety bond, in required form, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the total Base Bid made payable to Plainfield Township. All bids shall be submitted via the PennBid Program. All Bidders, Contractors and subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified for Work Class Code "F" Bituminous Paving in order to bid on this project. Proof of prequalification is required with bid submittal. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage requirements as published by the Department of Labor and Industry. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, indemnification, insurance requirements and non-discrimination. The successful Bidder must provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total cost of the Contract award and a Payment Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total cost of the Contract award within seven (7) days of the award of the Contract. The project must be completed no later than September 15, 2021. Liquidated damages apply in the amount of $885.00 per day. The Contractor shall notify the Municipality at least five (5) business days prior to the start of the project. Plainfield Township will inspect the project. All Bidders must complete and submit with their bid the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Form" as per Department of General Services Act 127 of 2012. Proof of CDL Drug and Alcohol Compliance is required with submission of Bid. Completion of Affidavit of Non-Collusion and Workers Compensation Affidavit are both required with submission of Bid. Plainfield Township intends to award the contract to one Bidder. Bidders must bid on all items. Plainfield Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints. Quantities stated in Bid Documents are not guaranteed. Actual quantities may be more or less. However, payment will be based on the actual quantities of the work performed. The standard under which bids will be evaluated and other bid requirements and instructions to bidders are included in the bid package.
