The project consists of the construction of a new pre-engineered metal building for Motor Vehicle Enforcement (MVE) Inspection Building- Dallas County. RFBFY2021#072 This shall include all site work including grading, paving, drives, walks, seeding, and utility improvements. The structure is a new 3,625 sq.ft. pre-engineered metal building with concrete masonry unit walls, metal panel walls and roofs, electrical, mechanical and plumbing. The building will be heated, and will be provided with a special inspection pit below semitrucks and trailers along the vehicles full length. The facility will also provide work stations and a restroom for MVE officers. Restrooms for public use are also part of the proposed design. This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered.
