The Work generally includes the milling, replacement, and sealing of existing parking lots including concrete flatwork, signage, lot striping, and minor utility work. Work also includes the development of a relocated access roadway from McNeil Avenue up to Lot 14 and revising onnections to Lot 8e and Lot 10. Roadway work includes earthwork, storm drainage with detention, water quality structures, curb and gutter, guardrail, paving, and utility improvements. Lot 9 work shall include a new median strip and associated storm drainage, curb and gutter and new striping for a motorcycle training course. An Additive Bid Item is included for lighting replacements in lots/locations defined on the Drawings. Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond Form (CO-10.2) is required. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required regardless of contract amount. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications plus such successive Additive Bid Items as the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in Paragraph 12 of the Instructions to Bidders.
