Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shoreline, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Shoreline seeks a contractor to furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project referenced above. The work shall include, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct and install safety improvements on Meridian Avenue N between N 155th St and N 175th St. The roadway will be changed from from one lane in each direction with on-street parking to one travel lane plus one bicycle lane in each direction and turn lanes or on-street parking. At N 170th Street, a supplemental pedestrian activated rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) will be added to the exsting RRFB system. At N 163rd Street, a new RRFB system will be installed, and curb bulb outs will be installed. The time for completion of the work is within 70 working days of the date appearing on the "Notice to Proceed". No oral interpretations will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the bid or Contract Documents; and any oral communication is not binding upon the City of Shoreline. Questions via phone or in person will not be accepted. Bidders shall submit questions no later than 2 P.M., Februray 14, 2024. Any interpretation deemed necessary by the City will be in the form of an addendum to the Bid documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety company bid bond, on a form acceptable to the City, from a State-licensed Surety Company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Shoreline. A one hundred percent (100%) Contract Bond must be submitted by the Successful Low Bidder (herein after "Contractor"). The successful bidder shall provide executed payment and performance bond(s) for the full contract amount. The bond may be a combined payment and performance bond; or be separate payment and performance bonds. In the case of separate payment and performance bonds, each shall be for the full contract amount. Bids may not be withdrawn after bid opening. The City expressly reserves the right to cancel the invitation to bid prior to the submittal deadline, reject any or all bids, and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities and to further award the Project to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the City. The City of Shoreline, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, in consideration for an award.
