Site work and asbestos abatement for a medical facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a medical facility; and for asbestos abatement for a medical facility.
The Contractor shall furnish, and each bid proposal shall include all labor, material, equipment, insurance and power necessary to complete the Abatement of Asbestos-Containing Materials project in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by SES Environmental and on file in the Allen County Department of Public Purchase. Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-16-13, Contractors working on public works projects involving the construction, reconstruction, alteration, or renovation of a public building must be prequalified through the Public Works Certification Board if the project is estimated to be greater than $300,000 and must provide a Certificate of Qualification in the Bid Proposal. All Bids shall be itemized The bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10 % of the bid. The bid bond must be attached to the front of the original bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 150 % of the contract price shall be required upon notification, and prior to starting work. Bids shall not be modified, withdrawn or canceled, without the Owners written consent, for a period of Sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled time of receipt to allow review of Bids before announcing award of Contract. The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instruction to Bidders and reserves the right to waive irregularities.
